Ten man Dingle United registered Premier A points for the first time this season with a resilient display away to St Pauls on Sunday.
The visitors went down to 10 relatively early in the the game and needed keeper Ian Franzoni to keep them in the game in the first 45.
However, Dingle dominated after the turn and eventually secured a win thanks in part to a brilliant Cooney intervention.
The game started with both evenly matched and very few clear cut chances being made. However, Franzoni produced a good save with his legs to keep the scores level.
Just short of the half hour mark things seemed to swing in the home sides favour as Evan Smyth received his marching orders.
Pauls instantly created a number of chances, but couldn’t find a way past the visiting keeper and the sides went in level at the break.
Dingle restructured during the team talk and came out dominating after the turn around. On the hour mark the pressure finally told as as Brian Voakes reacted first when a ball into the are bounced off the home keepers knees to knock home.
Eight minutes late and Craig Cooney made sure in style. The winger picked the ball up 40 yards out beat four players before beating the keeper with a neat finish.
Both goal scorers had further chances while Franzoni produced another brave save as the visitors eventually claimed an impressive win.
