FAI Junior Cup
Conn Rangers- 3
Conn Rangers maintained their hundred percent start to the season with an impressive win in the FAI Junior Cup on Sunday.
Rangers beat Glenhest by the odd goal in five to make it four wins from four in all competitions to progress to the third round of the biggest cup competition in Europe.
The visitors took the lead as early as minute five when Enna Mchale found the back of the net.
The home side managed to pull level 20 minutes later and parity remained up and until 75 minutes.
When Luke Ruane was fouled in the box it afforded Joe Faughnan the chance to put Conn back in front and he duly obliged.
Eoin Prendergast all but wrapped up the win 10 minutes later when brilliant Darrage Jordan approach played saw him run in one and one and he finished to give his side a two goal cushion.
The home side did pull one back in injury time as a Chris Rowland cross was headed home, but it proved too little too late for the hosts and Conn put their names in the Round 3 hat.
