Bluebell United boss Andy Noonan jokes he may just ban Jason Byrne from the Red Cow in the lead up to his sides FAI Senior Cup second round clash.
The ‘Bell have drawn LOI First Division side Cabinteely in the second round an occurrence that created somewhat of an issue for legendary goal getter Jason Byrne.
The Ireland cap is a current Cabo player, but has been coaching down at the Senior Sunday side throughout the Summer.
With a foot in both camps Bluebell boss Noonan has joked the experienced front man will be relieved of his coaching duties for a week or so.
Noonan told SunSport: “Jason has been coaching with us since pre-season as he’s trying to get his badges.
“We’ve been joking with him that we’ll have to get him a half-and-half jersey like the GAA ones you’d see.
“I haven’t spoken to him yet but he’s a Cabinteely employee and you’d have to respect that. He’ll be banned from the club for ten days! There’s been a bit of stick and banter in the WhatsApp group about it but we might have to kick him out of that now!”
