Irish Junior International Shane Clarke opened the door to open round for Janesboro on Sunday.
Limerick’s perennial top scorer hit four as the League Leaders beat Kilmallock to become the first Limerick District League side in the Munster Junior Cup open stages.
The visitors put a depleted Kilmallock to the sword and hitting them for six over 90 minutes.
The visitors were ahead after just 10 minutes when Michael Ryan broke the deadlock.
Shane Clarke then got the first of his four just after 20 minutes and within five minutes was on the score sheet again.
Keith Mawdsley made it four after the turn to keep his fine run of goal scoring form since joining the club.
The visitors didn’t stop there and Clarke added to his season tally with two more before Kilmallock secured consolation via Barry Sheedy.
