Courtown Hibs have brought in a goal scorer supreme to their ‘expanding’ squad.
However, manager Paul Kirwan will be hoping Cathal Dunbar is adept and putting the football in the back of the net as he is the sliotar.
Dunbar was on the Wexford Senior hurling panel this Summer, but has been a real star at under age level where his goals and the manner of them have caught the eye.
The youngster now joins the Wexford Football League and Courtown Hibs, who will be hoping he can help them mount a title challenge this season.
Dunbar is one of two signings through the door as Kirwan has also added ‘one of the hottest’ prospects in Wexford to his panel.
“Cormie had great pedigree known as one of the hottest soccer players coming through under age and had done well at men’s level the year before last. Cormie adds to a strong squad, he’s an intelligent footballer and really competitive. We are delighted to have him,” the manager explained.
“While Cathal is a flyer ! Very strong on the ball. He’s only finished with the county senior hurling side and no doubt he will bring a level of professionalism to our expanding team.”
