Charlie Cahill Cup
Crumlin United’s love affair with the Charlie Cahill Cup continued on Thursday night.
The Pearse Park side defeated rivals Bluebell United seven days after the pair had meet in an exciting final day league clash to lift the first trophy Martin Loughran ever won as Crumlin manager.
The win see’s Crumlin finish a season in which they lost their title as FAI Intermediate champions with some silverware.
For Bluebell it is the second time in less than a week that they were within 90 minutes of collecting major silverware, but ultimately came out second best.
James Lee opened the scoring for Crumlin before Conor Murphy made it two goals in two games against the Bell to extend the advantage.
Jake Donnelly got Crumlin’s third in a 3-1 win.
