LSL Senior Sunday
Crumlin United 5
Malahide United 1
They struggled for real rhythm as they kicked off the new season with a last gasp win over Bangor on Wednesday night, but danced brilliantly to victory at Armagh Road on Sunday.
It was a lot less tense for Crumlin United on Sunday as a side, that look determined to correct the costly slow start mistakes they have made in the previous two season, made it two wins from two.
Former League of Ireland player, Craig Walsh got the ball rolling when he combined well with Simpson before rounding the keeper and rolling home.
Crumlin kept pushing and won a penalty after some neat play in the box. Jake Donnelly stepped and slotted home to register his first league goal of the season.
Malahide, who have impressed more at home than away this term, hit the crossbar soon after but it was the hosts who found the net next.
Some neat play around the area eventually saw holding midfielder David Vickery through on goal and he smashed home to push the cushion to three.
Former Inchicore talisman Walsh started the second just like he started the first half, finding the back of the net.
The midfielder pushed the cushion to four with his second goal of the afternoon.
Jake Donnelly then joined him on a the double with a neat finish across the keeper and into the bottom corner as Crumlin hit fifth gear.
Malahide did register a consolation which means they have scored in all of their four games this season.
