Douglas Hall manager Tommy Corcan admits his side are underdogs going into tonights Munster Junior Cup clash with Killarney Celtic, but warns they are the kind of underdogs that bite back.
The Cork Oscar Traynor manager knows tonight’s opponents have quality operators and believes home advantage, is just that a decent advantage.
However, he is confident his side are hitting a run of form going into the last 32 of the prestigious competition and believes his young new faces are bedding it just at the right time.
Speaking about his side who have score 12 goals and conceded only three in their previous three Munster Junior Cup games, said
” We are league and cup winners for last season .This year we have introduced about 8 new faces to the squad mostly young guys from the Douglas area . It is taking time to get the team settled with so many changes but we are still in the mix for this season . We are under dogs for Saturdays clash with Killarney Celtic who have home advantage and some excellent players. I know some off the Killarney team as they represented Kerry very well this term. We are excited about the fixture and hoping to put a big performance .”
