LSL Senior Sunday
St Patrick’s CYFC-3
Jason Doyle was on the double as St Patrick’s CY returned to winning ways in impressive fashion.
The pacey front man made up for a missed penalty goals either side of a Lee Weafer Joyce effort as the Ringsend side defeated Killester to consolidated their place as in the top half.
Stephen Geoghan’s men are now as high as fifth although they have played more games than anyone in the division.
CY had dominated for the majority of the mid week clash, but did not find the net until six minutes into the second half when Doyle found the back of the net.
Lee Weafer Joyce then made it two soon after but the visitors pulled goal back before Doyle added a clinching third.
The result ended a run of two league defeats for the hosts and see’s them move to a healthy 19 points at the midway point, while Killester are down in ninth with 15 points.
