We’re down to the final 32 of the 2016/17 FAI Junior Cup and bookmakers have once again revised their odds in terms of who will be crowned the winners at the Aviva Stadium in May.
Defending champions Sheriff YC remain strong favourites following their victory over Limerick champions Carew Park in Round Five with a 13/5 price. Their possible opponents in Round Six, Tipperary’s St Michaels have slipped to third favourites, they’re priced at 11/2 but first must overcome AUL Premier A side Usher Celtic in their Round Five tie.
Sitting in between those two sides are Limerick heavyweights Janesboro who are 4/1 to lift the trophy while fellow Limerick clubs Ballynanty Rovers (7/1) and Regional United (9/1) round out the top five.
A nice outside bet may be Navan Cosmos at 16/1 who already hold a victory over Sheriff this season and have also looked impressive in the competition so far while Rivervalley Rangers (20/1) always seem to save their best for this competition and will fancy their chances as underdogs when they welcome Carrick United to the AUL in Round Six.
