When you sign the likes of Carl Forsyth, Rory O’Connor, Paddy Brophy and Ryan Coombes it’s hard to say Firhouse Clover have saved the best to last, but the Tallaght side have made an impressive late signing.
An ambitious Clover outfit have brought in Aidan Raffery from Senior Sunday rivals Cherry Orchard.
The creative midfielder was a favourite at Elmdale in recent seasons, he was stand out alongside Jonathan Kelty and behind the likes of Coombes, as the Orchard impressed early last season.
The midfielder was also crucial in the Ballyfermot sides Senior 1 title winning term and the JSP believes Shelbourne were watching him closely last term.
Rafferty now joins Firhouse and will provide a different kind of creative spark in a side already blessed with attacking talent.
