It’s not quite Steven Gerard versus West Ham in the dying embers of the 2006 FA Cup final, but it’s a final strike well worth a watch.
Stephen Ward produced a moment of brilliance to help St Marks Celtic cause an upset in last Wednesday’s Albert Walsh Cup final.
Ward open the scoring against Finglas United at Peamount United’s goal with a brilliant volley.
The side the got promoted from Premier 1 managed two more strikes against the side who won promotion from Premier Sunday with Eddie Kennedy hitting a break.
While Kennedy’s double and of course Ward’s strike may grab the headlines the Celtic defence played a massive part. Mark’s were only the second side all season to stop Finglas from scoring and had hit 26 goals in just 4 games en route to the final.
