LSL Senior Sunday 1
Tolka Rovers are still waiting on a first win of the season after they lost away to Wayside Celtic on Sunday.
Wayside won a clash of two sides with strong Senior Sunday history by the odd goal in three to bank three points in their first game of the season.
The defeat was Tolka’s first on the new season, but after drawing their two previous games leaves them searching for a win. Indeed if you take into account last season Tolka haven’t won a league game in nine attempts something they will be both hopeful and confident of amending over the coming weeks.
Edward McDonagh was the eventual hero for the Jackson Park natives as he headed home the winner with 18 minutes to go and just two after Tolka looked to have turned a corner by equalising.
Craig Arnold’s successful penalty gave Celtic a half time lead. Rovers levelled on 70 minutes, but just two minutes later McDonagh headed home the winner.
