LSL Senior 1
It was derby delight for Home Farm on Tuesday night.
The Whitehall club bounced back from opening day defeat to promoted opposition by defeating a side recently relegated to the second tier.
The side that reached the first round of the FAI Cup put four past near neighbours Drumcondra to bank a first three points of the season in some style.
Defeat leaves the Drums still in search of a first win of the season after the drew with Glebe on the opening day.
The home side broke the dead lock on 30 minutes when Bradley Hand found the back of the net.
A penalty right on the stroke of half time gave the Whitehall club the chance to take a goal cushion into the break and they did just that as Sean Goulding-scorer of this amazing goal– found the net for the first time in the league this season from 12 yards.
Those two strikes separated the sides up and until the final 10 minutes when Matt McAntee and Eoin Murray added some gloss to the score sheet. McAntee finishing with 10 minutes remaining and Murray converting an injury time peno.
