Dean Kelly fired home in the last minute as St Mochtas beat Usher Celtic in dramatic fashion on Thursday night.
The LSL AUL battle looked to be heading for a stalemate especially when Kelly was denied trying to chip the keeper on 88 minutes, but the former Shamrock Rovers front man produced the goods just two minutes later to secure Saints victory.

The Saints had more of the ball over the next few minutes without creating a clear cut chance. Usher didn’t need a clear cut chance to draw level as a brilliant top corner finder saw them restore parity after the 30 minute mark.
Philly Hughes they flirted with the spectacular but saw his 30 yard effort hit the crossbar not long before Usher were denied by a good save.
The second half was an even but scrappy affair with neither side able to get on top and create with 15 minutes to go Mocthas did up the tempo and sub Kelly and David Somers both came close before Mocthas saw a shot pushed onto the the bar.
Usher tried to respond and to their credit pushed for a winner, but Kelly, an FAI Intermediate Cup winner in 2010, converted one of two late chances to snatch victory for the Porterstown club.
