The Kilkenny District League have withdrawn from the 2016/17 Oscar Traynor Trophy after playing one game in the competition.
The KKDL representative panel fell to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Carlow and District Football League over the weekend.
The reason behind their withdrawal is due to a series of injuries and work commitments causing a shortage of personnel ahead of their proposed fixture against the North East Football League.
Group B now contains three teams: The Leinster Senior League along with Carlow and the NEFL. The LSL have already picked up two wins in the competition thus far; a 3-1 against the NEFL and a 1-0 win over Carlow.
They will be awarded a walkover against Kilkenny meaning they have officially sealed qualification from Group B leaving the NEFL and Carlow to fight it out for the second remaining qualification spot.
