FAI Junior Cup
Two goals either side of the half were enough for Kilmore Celtic to see off Ashbourne United with ease in Friday nights FAI Junior Cup second round tie.
Kilmore were in control from the off and it was Marko Lynch opened the scoring from 10 yards on 22 minutes. It was that man again just before half time as the visitors went into the dressing rooms with a deserved two goal lead at the break.
Ashbourne began the second half with more intent as they tried to make their way back into it and missed a glorious chance close to the hour mark with a misplaced header while Lynch missed a golden opportunity to get his hat trick a the other end only moments later.
Kilmore got their third on 61 minutes through a lovely Paul McMillan finish from the edge of the box and the game was finished as a contest. Curley added another goal late on to book their place in the next round in style.
