My Best #11 Michael McLoughlin
This week’s My Best #11 comes from current Firhouse Clover player Micheal McLoughlin
The midfielder, who is currently making an impact in Senior Sunday was one to watch as a youngster. He played underage with Cherry Orchard, even wore the crest of Manchester United in the Foyle Cup and had brief spells with Stoke and Charlton as well as playing for Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick’s Athletic in the reserve league.
GK-Robbie Walsh ( WFTA)
An absolute quality keeper and a top lad. He had everything you want in a keeper. He had to pack it in after he nearly chocked to death on sweet on the way to Charlton!
RB-Darren Murray (WFTA Shamrock Rovers )
A hatchet man, quality player, a real leader and a top man .
LB Enda Stevens-(Cherry Orchard )
Class act! He is the most laid back man ever. Nothing phases him even on his debut against Man United he marked Antiono Valencia and didn’t bat a eyelid. Currently with championship high flyers Sheffield United.
CB-Simon Dunne (Shelbourne)
Unreal in the air and an all round great defender .
CB-Craig Sives (Shamrock Rovers )
I only played once or twice with him that was enough quality defender.
CM-Conor Mc cormock ( Manchester Utd youths )
Absolute workhorse never stops great player and had a great season at Cork this year.
CM Mikey Doyle
RW- Don Cowan (Shamrock Rovers)
Beast of man with lighting pace very effective.
LW-Jamie Devitt ( Cherry Orchard )
A great player doing well for himself over in Carlisle now.
CF-Ian Daly (Manchester Utd )
I played wit Ian in the Foyle Cup. His first touch was outrageous and knew where the net was.
CF- James Mooney (Shamrock Rovers)
I was going to go with Martin Waghorn who I played with when he scored five in a half, but I plucked for James Mooney, great player had all the attributes just a pity he is made out of wet tissue
Honorable Mentions to Ed Saul (Firhouse ) I played wit him for a half a hour last week looked very sharp and Karl Keogh the water boy he’s too nervous to do anything else
