They previously won twitter when they took Paddy Power to task and Bluebell United were showing their social media and indeed banter skills again this week.
Last seasons LSL Senior Sunday runners up take on Shamrock Rovers in the FAI Senior Cup quarter finals this weekend and despite their prominence as a top amateur side they noticed their opponents only followed them on social media this week.
Whoever runs the last amateur side standing’s twitter account couldn’t resist a tongue in cheek response and questioned why the League of Ireland big guns have only started ‘spying now’.
The tweet certainly caught the eye of those in the Sun and they hailed it as their ‘Tweet of the Week’.

No doubt Stephen Bradley, who at one stage wore the red and white of Lucan United, will know all about The Bell and would have had them scouted if he hasn’t been down to watch them himself in recent weeks. Brandon Meile will certainly know what the side are about having played there for six months, while Bluebell’s Keith Fahey won’t be unknown to Rovers fans or staff.
