St James Gate have confirmed a management re-structure ahead of the new season.
The side that finished bottom of Senior 1A last season with just six points to their name have made across the board changes to their management teams.
Tasked with steadying the first team ship is John Cooke, Cooke comes in as Sunday manager with Simon Brophy and Stefan Kacperski making up his backroom team.
Phil Rooney upgrades from assistant to first team coach of the Saturday side and will be aided by Anto Callahan and Jamie Rooney.
The club have also elected to field an U19 side into the LSL 19’s for the forthcoming season, with Wes Fallon and Deco O’Donnell taking manager and assistant manager at that level.
The Gate released the following statement to officially confirm the appointments:
“We’re delighted to announce the re-structure and appointment of our management teams for the coming season.
Also we are excited to announce that we will be entering a team in the under 19’s LSL for the 2018/19 season.
At Senior Sunday level we would like to welcome John Cooke as the Sunday Manager and his back room staff of Simon Brophy & Stefan Kacperski.
At Senior Saturday level Phil Rooney will be stepping up from Assistant Manager last season to take the managers post for the coming season and we welcome Anto Callahan and Jamie Rooney to the club who will be coming on board as his trusted assistants.
Under 19’s sees some familiar faces with clubmen Wes Fallon & Deco O’Donnell teaming up as Manager & Assistant respectively for this exciting project
