Northern Ireland replaced Ireland as Quadrangular Champions with victory over Ireland in Scotland today.
Northern Ireland followed up their four goal win over the Isle of Man by winning by the odd goal in three against Gerry Davis men.
The win means Norther Ireland claim the title for the first time as their superior goal difference to Scotland seen them finish top of the table.
The sides went in scoreless at the break but Northern Ireland managed to find the net twice in a competitive strike.
Shane Clarke was Ireland’s scorer on the day finishing for the second time in the tournament.
Meanwhile Scotland made it back to back wins in the competition they hosted but it wasn’t enough to secure them tournament victory.
Dean Hoskins and Graham Wilson gave the hosts a two-goal lead in the first half only for St George’s Sean Quaye to pull a goal back with a header at a corner on the stroke of half-time.
