Not quite Robhino to Manchester City, but Kilmore Celtic have pulled off a dramatic late transfer coup.
Just days before the amateur window shuts the Premier A new boys have confirmed Stewie Glen has signed for the club.
Glen goes as far back as the AFL side that shocked Irish football by winning the Oscar Traynor Trophy 10 years ago and has established himself as a Premier A goal expert over the years.
Having bagged goals for the likes of St Pauls Artane the front man moved to Sheriff YC two seasons ago.
In his first season he score no fewer than 37 goals. Work commitments hampered his involvement in the second season but the striker, who got five hat tricks in his two seasons at Sheriff, managed to bolster both his trophy cabinet and his reputation.
Glen now moves to Kilmore and is in line to make his debut when they make their Premier A debut this Wednesday against’s the strikers old club St Pauls.
