After Rivervalley Rangers did a quick Premier A hokey cokey the AUL have moved to promote another club to Premier A.
After Eastwall Bessborough revealed they would not be fielding a first team next season and announced they had withdrawn from the AUL top flight the Committee began looking for a suitable replacement.
Obviously keen not to run a nine team top flight for the second season running the AUL put three teams through a Premier A interview process.
Rivervalley Rangers were initially successful and secured promotion ahead of Raheny United and Real Transylvania without kicking a ball, but after they pulled out of the Tommy Clements Cup pre season tournament the AUL felt it was better the relegated side remained in Premier B next season.
As a result the Swords side were placed back in Premier B and the AUL moved to replace them over the weekend.
Raheny United will now Howth Celtic, Donnycarney, Kilmore Celtic, St Pauls and Dingle United as new faces in a new look Premier A next season.
Raheny finished in the Premier B relegation slots last season, but after a shake up of the divisions looked set to play in the second tier next season.
However, the recent developments have ensured they will now compete in the top flight and will get to test themselves against the likes of Sheriff and Usher.
