Hardwicke have added real punch to their attack after signing a professional boxer with a reputation for carrying real knock out power.
Jake Hanney is a respected boxer with four knockouts from five pro wins to date and a fighter who once won Australian Prospect and Australian Knock Out of the Year.
As well as been seen in the ring Hanney has also impressed on the football pitch. The front man may not have lit up Premier A while with East Wall Bessborough, but he was a goal scorer for their Saturday side.
The boxing career may have prevented the puncher from committing enough time to make a first team break through, but he now hasn’t fought since March of last year and his TV defeat to Tyrone McKenna-and may now have more time to dedicate to all things ‘ball.
Joining Hanney at a side that can now boast the talent of Dave Scully is former Sheriff keeper Ryan Graydon, PJ Harcourt and Paul Fitzsimons, a brother of former Killester United striker and current East Wall manager Davy Fitzsimons.
