The prodigal son returns.
St Patrick’s CY favourite Thomas Dunne has elected to return home and will line out for his local club in the LSL top flight next season.
Dunne, who some at the club view as CY’s most naturally gifted player, top scored on a regular basis as the Ringsend side as they progressed through the LSL divisions and proved an inspiration as they remained in the top flight. Indeed he scored over 20 goals post one Christmas break to ensure his side avoided the drop.
However, the Regions Cup winner and former LSL Intermediate Player of the Year departed for the AUL and Sheriff two seasons ago and had a successful spell on the other side of the Liffey.
The front man won two FAI Junior Cups, a Leinster Junior Cup, two Premier A titles as well a host of cups in a two year spell under Alan Reilly.
Now with a host of Junior success on his CV Dunne returns to Intermediate football and will be hoping to help his local side progress in Senior Sunday this term.
