Ringmahon Rangers have staged a massive coup and signed one of the best players to grace the Munster Senior League in recent years.
Roy Long won all there was to win while at Avondale and was more often than not a crucial goal scorer in as the Cork enjoyed a run of League and FAI Intermediate Cup success.
The striker, who captained ‘Dale, signed along with a number of Avondale names signed for his local side Kilreen Celtic over the Summer, but has left the Division 2 side and returns to the top flight with Ringmahon.
The signing will prove a massive boost to the MSL top flight side and will lessen the blow of losing Dean Swords to Cobh Ramblers.
Paul Lehane and Wesley Tong have also signed in the window.
