Rivervalley Rangers have confirmed they will compete in Premier B rather than Premier A next season.
The Swords side were relegated from the top flight due to a third from bottom finish.
However were intially chosen to replace East Wall Bessborough in AUL Premier after the popular Inner City side revealed they wouldn’t be fielding a Sunday side for the 2017/18 season.
Rivervalley,Raheny and Real Transilvania were all interviewed by the AUL and as such were in contention for a top flight spot.
The AUL Committee felt Rivervalley were best equip to deal with top flight life next term and intially promoted the Swords side to Premier A.
However, the club pulled out of the Tommy Clements after just one game and sat down again with the powers that be in the Athletic Union League.
The results were interesting as the AUL decision makers have now elected to place Rivervalley back into Premier B.
It’s unsure if either Raheny or Real Transylvania will be offered the chance to re aply for a Premier A place or if the AUL will run with a nine team league.
