Lee Roche hit a hat trick as Liffey Wanderers brushed as side recent Senior Sunday competitors Glenville away from home on Sunday morning.
The FAI Intermediate Champions and promotion regulars maintained their unbeaten start with another impressive display and went five points clear at the top at this early stage.
Glenville actually had the opportunity to take an early lead, but sent an early spot kick wide of the post.
The sides were relatively evenly matched throughout the first 45, but Liffey’s managed to take a lead into the break.
In form Lee Roche finished a brilliant Clayton Maher delivery at the back post to give his side a half time lead.
Two minutes into the second half and the former Crumlin United player was finding the net again. This time he carried the ball into the box before slotting past the keeper.
Roche got his and his sides third from the spot not long after before Dean Young rounded off a brilliant Wanderers performance with a fine individual goal.
Wanderers now have 13 points from their opening five games while Glenville have just one from their first three.
Meanwhile Ballymun United, who came up with Liffey’s drew 0-0 for the second time in a row as they played a stalemate with Dublin Bus.
