Maguire who lead the line well throughout fired two warning shots the way of the home side before the turn again testing the keeper before dragging an effort just wide.
The front man wasn’t to be denied after the break and got reward for his all round play when he blasted home a Graham Hughes pass just six minutes after the restart.
Glen O’ Donnell went close to doubling the advantage only to be kept out by another brilliant save from one of the two form keepers.
Kmet matched the goal keeping heroics of his opposite number on more than one occasion in the final few minutes as Wanderers upped the pressure in search of an equaliser.
