Killester Utd have resigned highly rated goalkeeper Even Whelan.
The net minder signed from League of Ireland First Division side Cabinteely FC two seasons ago, but took a year sabbatical from the game to travel and was replaced by Ciaran Bizzel as the Haddon Park #1 last term.
However, the highly rated goal keeper has returned to the LSL and Killester for next season.
Whelan is a former Dublin Minor GAA star having won a Leinster Final in goal for the boys in blue against Kildare in 2014.
The talented net minder signed up with League of Ireland new boys Cabinteely from boyhood club St Malachys Edenmore before joining Killester two years ago.
Whelan is now back at the club and saved a penalty to ensure he kept a clean sheet during a pre season friendly on Sunday.
