AUL Premier A
Sheriff YC made it seven AUL Premier A titles on trot with victory on Tuesday night.
Alan Reilly’s made it a four trophy term as they added the league title to the Liddy, Nivea and FAI Junior Junior Cup they banked over the last number of weeks.
The title which was won with two games to spare makes it a sensational 25 trophy’s in the last six seasons.
The success comes on the back of another 50 game season, 10 of which have been played in the last six weeks and they lifted the title without tasting defeat.
The result, however, was bad news for Rivervalley Rangers as it ensured they finished the season in the bottom three and are relegated, although with two top flight teams leaving the AUL in the Summer they could retain Premier A status in the reshuffle.
Rivervalley brought Sheriff to penalties in the Nivea for Men Cup on Sunday morning, but couldn’t keep pace with the Inner City side on Tuesday and were dispatched rather easily.
The inform Stephen Murphy hit a double in the title winning game. The midfielder’s brace came between strikes from Mark Higgins and Dylan Darcey.
