LSL Senior 1
Home Farm -2
Swords Celtic put themselves in the Senior Sunday promotion thanks to a Shaun O’Brien double on Friday night.
Celtic made defeat fellow promotion hopefuls Home Farm to make it three league wins on the trot, a run of games that has moved them just two points off the top three in one what is shaping up to be one of the more competitive division in the LSL.
O’Brien got Swords off the mark in the away game when he intercepted a back pass before finishing to break the deadlock.
With 10 minutes to go until half time Bradley Hand managed to level for the hosts and the sides went in all square at the turn.
Celtic game out with a real purpose in the second half and were back in front when O’Brien raced onto a defence cutting Andrew Timmons pass to score his and his sides second.
Sean Kelly then put some distance between the sides as he converted from the spot after Calvin Dooney was pushed in the area while waiting to get something on an Owen Jones cross.
Home Farm hit back and looked to set up a tense finish when they got within one with 10 minutes to go.
However, Nial Tormey made sure for the visitors as he side footed past the keeper after another Jones cross.
