The number of teams to switch from the AUL to LSL this Summer has increased to five.
Premier B sides Rivervalley Rangers and St Michael’s FC confirmed this week they are bound for the Leinster league that provides passage to Intermediate football and three more have followed suit.
East Wall Rovers Columbians and Blackrock all made the move after successful appeals.
The departure of Columbians and Blackrock might not be a big blow to a league that has lost a host of teams over the last few years considering they are Senior Saturday and Division 1 Sunday sides.
However, the League will lament the loss of East Wall Rovers, who finished fourth in Premier B.
Not only are Rovers a progressive club, but they are the third Premier B to make the switch already this Summer.
The AUL had to restructure with eight departures last term and effectively merged Premier B and C and with three teams gone from the second tier this Summer another re shuffle may be needed.
