Tolka didn’t have to wait long for a first goal on another impressive afternoon. Dean “Whacker” Brady curled a perfect pass in behind the Village defence straight to JSP Player of the week Joey McDonnell who slotted home, his 5th goal in 3 games.
The advantage soon swung further the way of the hosts as Village were reduced to 10 just before the break. The home side came out to the second half with their tails up and ready to add to the scoreline and after a number of chances and a few attacks halted by the offside flag the added to their tally.
Some good work on the left side by Keifer Trappe allowed him to run through again, this time he finished with a beautiful chip over the keeper into the far post, such was the finish that both home and away lines had to applaud.
With a comfortable cushion Tolka took their foot off the gas somewhat, but still found time for a fourth. Brady finishing with a bullet effort from outside the area to round off another impressive cup win for Rovers.
