Leinster Junior Cup
Usher Celtic came back from two down to beat Howth and reach round 4 of the Leinster Junior Cup.
The side that scalped Sheriff in the FAI Junior Cup last seven days earlier looked set to have their own scalp taken in major cup competition as Howth raced into an early lead.
However, Usher produced a a brilliant comeback to win by a comfortable three goal margin.
Howth came out of the blocks firing and opened up a two goal lead on the Premier A rivals.
Midfielder Jay Ivory, who has been in impressive goal scoring form this season managed to pull one back from the spot before the break.
Last week’s goal scoring hero Stephen Donnelly then leveled proceedings with a neat finish.
The comeback was complete when wing back Wayne Walker scored soon after.
Last season’s AUL top scorer Jordan Buckley then hit a late double to ensure the hosts finished with a two a three goal cushion and marched on in another of the prestigious cup competitions.
