Leinster Junior Cup
Usher Celtic produced a masterful second half performance to avoid a Leinster Junior exit on Friday night.
A win for the Highview Atheltic might not have been a massive shock, but certainly a surprise and Kilkenny District League had the scalping knife out as they lead early on.
However, the home side levelled before the break and turned on the style post the turn around to eventually ran out comfortable winners.
Highview took the lead as Broaders peno on 25 minutes put them in progression pole.
Usher managed to level 10 minutes later as last seasons Player of the Year and current Irish Amateur squad member Jordan Buckley found the net.
Three minutes after the restart Kavanagh saved a peno for the visitors and there was a sense that might be the Kats night.
That feeling was gone just three minutes later as Gerard Jordan scored. Leroy Staunton then put two between the sides before Jay Ivory wrapped up the result by finding the net with just under 25 mintues to go.
