Donnycareny FC certainly came back with a bang.
After a year sabbatical the AUL side reformed their Sunday outfit and placed them in AUL Premier C.
The Dons went on to do a league and cup double, made the FAI Junior Cup last 16 and even flirted with a famous Liddy Cup final win over Sheriff before eventually losing out in the decider.
The season is over but the club won one more major gong at the AUL Awards on Friday night.
Manager Ciaran Flynn picked up the prestigious Manager of the Year Award.
Flynn beat off stiff competition to pick up the award as the manager was rewarded for overseening great success in a short period of time.
Goalkeepeer Robbie Fay was also honoured at the event as he picked up the Premier C Golden Gloves accolade.
