Craig Winstanley hit a 30 yard pile driver to put Aungier Celtic on their way to Unidare Cup victory in the AUL Complex on Tuesday night.
Aungier had the better of the play for the opening hour, but struggled to gain the advantage their all round play deserved.
After a number of missed opportunities defender Winstanley took the ball in midfield, strode forward, let fly a shot that firmly kissed the back of the net.
The strike relaxed the Aungier nerves somewhat and they went on to run out relatively comfortable cup final winners over a plucky Cabra.
Aungier had the better of the first half, but the sides went in level at 0-0 at the break.
Cabra began to get more of a foothold in the game after the turn, but just when it looked like they may start to get on top Winstanley let fly to break the deadlock.
A neat outside of the boot from Chris Radley finish from just inside the area seven minutes later then gave Celtic some breathing space before Luke Gorman cushioned past the keeper late on to make sure.
